Arik and Tayaura had fully assumed the identity of Honjo and Salna, the two noble Crimsonians from the resort. Since Salna was a few months pregnant, Tayaura had used a small pillow to add a bulge at the front of her robes. She also wore a piece over her clothing that resembled an apron, one with the fabric stitched in different-colored horizontal bars, a tradition from the southern city of Jur, according to Meosa.

Their disguises would have helped them greatly had they been trying to infiltrate the fortress without the demon charm. Yet it would have proven challenging once they ran into people that Honjo and Salna knew. Even so, Arik was convinced they would have played the part well through Tayaura’s skillset. As he had already seen numerous times now, the demon charm rendered all the work that went into a deception unnecessary.
